Q: What is this? Why is it here? Why is anything here?!

In April 2024 CrowdStrike permanently archived the original "Humio Community" slack workspace. CrowdStrike encouraged members to move to their community support forums, or for non-customers their Reddit community.

For paying CrowdStrike customers looking for commercial support for LogScale these are the places you should go for that.

This site, and the associated Slack workspace, was created to continue the community discussion on the use of Humio / CrowdStike LogScale, especially for those NOT on a paid contract with CrowdStrike, or not wanting to use Reddit.

Q: I have a CrowdStrike LogScale issue or emergency

In which case you are in the WRONG PLACE. See the note above about commercial or otherwise "official" CrowdStrike support options.

The members in this slack channel are only a community of users that have or still do use the Humio or CrowdStrike LogScale products. We (mostly) don't work for CrowdStrike.

Q: But I DEMAND you help me fix my problem!

Nope, see above.

Q: What can I do to get the best experience from this community?

The best approach is to treat this community as you would any other open-source community. Be respectful, take your time in asking questions, give all the context. You will often be confronted with "what are you trying to achieve?" and "why are you doing that?" type responses. This is because CONTEXT MATTERS, and if someone is asking these questions it's because they are trying to help you.

The Apache Software Foundation (ASF) lists some very simple principles when reporting a bug, the same goes when asking for help:
